CASTOR collection:  a family of essential objects making use of small diameter oak wood for the Japanese company Karimoku New Standard.

Called CASTOR, the items are all related by a detail that reminds of the  traces left by beavers on wood.

The CASTOR shelf and bench are made from solid Japanese oak which is gained from low-diameter trees that have previously remained significantly underused, ending up mostly as wood chips for paper pulp.

The CASTOR shelf and bench make reference to traditional Japanese furniture typology.
