SIGNS is a coat stand that changes its appearance with the use and never looks the same: Branches fold out from a stem and seem to form the signs of an archaic alphabet.
SIGNS makes use of small diameter thinned wood and takes in consideration the limited japanese space conditions: A hidden magnetic mechanism lets the 'branches' snap back to their original position when they're not used.
The SIGNS is available in three colors: natural maple, grey and yellow.
The SIGNS coat stand is made of solid Japanese maple which is gained from low-diameter trees that have previously remained significantly underused, ending up mostly as wood chips for paper pulp
SIGNS received the Wallpaper* Design Award 2010 for "Best domestic design".
